Bob became champion last Friday, surprisingly beating seven-time winner Barry Smith with a successful spot of the conundrum, MILKSHAKE. Still, Barry did manage to beat his wife (in terms of number of wins, not literally) and will almost certainly return for the quarter-finals in June. Will Bob be able to match this performance? That's in terms of winning games, not beating Barry's wife, of course:

ROUND 15 - Conundrum

EARTHWEED

C1 buzzes after 16 seconds to say WEATHERED, and he's right!
Max: 10 (131)
Score: 80 - 52

Very odd game today; even with Bob some way off his debut standard, he still looked as though he was going to coast to victory after the first few rounds. However, the wheels then seemed to fall off Bob's game, declaring nothing in a round with a nine available (plus several eights and a large number of sevens) and by the last numbers game, Richard was within eight points. But! then it all went wrong again for Richard as he missed the last numbers and was beaten to the conundrum. Ah well.

No more Countdown for the rest of the week as the Cheltenham festival takes over the Channel 4 afternoon schedule, so Bob returns for his third game on Monday 17th March.

If you cut a gandiseeg in half, do you get two gandiseegs or two halves of a gandiseeg?
