ROUND 15 S C O U R O N C E

Since his debut last Wednesday, Barry's been quietly winning his games without producing any spectacular fireworks or super-high scores (79, 80 and 84 so far), but often enough this is all that's needed to get through to the finals. So, three wins up to now, with his goal being six (to beat his wife Pam, who won five back in April 2007, and is once again watching today from the studio audience).

Today's challenger Vic served as an electrical officer on the QE2 from 1968 to 2006 and was the ship's longest-serving crew member when he left. For the record, he didn't get the chance to see any of Des's cabaret spots whilst on board. He must be kicking himself now, eh?

Neither player gets it, but a fella in the audience shows them the way to go...it's CONCOURSE.

Max: 10 (128)

A fourth win for Barry, then, a reasonably comfortable one this time. He's not looking like the most obvious candidate for octochampionship (although DOWNRATE was very good today), but he might well be able to do enough to get the six wins he targeted to outdo his wife.
