Tim: PASTIES (7)
DC: FIESTAS (7)
OT: AGEISTS (7) FASTIES (7) PATESIS (7) PATSIES (7)
Score: 0–7 (max 7)

Evadne will be kicking herself for not adding the extra I to make PASTIES from her PASTES.

Round 2: B D R U O A T E P

Evadne: POUTED (6)
Tim: ABOUT (5)
DC: ABRUPTED (8)
OT: OBDURATE (8) PROBATED (8)
Score: 6–7 (max 15)

But she's off the scoreboard, as Tim can only conjure a 5 this time round.

Round 3: 75, 2, 8, 10, 1, 7. Target: 453.

Evadne: 444.
Tim: 453. (8 - 2) x 75 + 10 - 7 (10)
Score: 6–17 (max 25)

Tim gets a rather straightforward number's in the last few seconds, to give him 10 useful points.

Teatime teaser: COSTLYOAF --> SCALYFOOT

Round 4: Y C M I A I N U S

Evadne: ANIMUS (6)
Tim: MAINS (5)
DC: MUSICIAN (8)
Score: 12–17 (max 33)

But Evadne claws back with a nice 6. Nevertheless, both declarations are bettered by the super spot of MUSICIAN from DC.

Round 5: T L K H A O E C R

Evadne: chalker
Tim: LOCKER (6)
DC: CHOKER (6) CHORTLE (7) CHOLERA (7)
OT: CHELATOR (8) CHLORATE (8) TROCHLEA (8)

Round 6: 75, 50, 7, 10, 3, 8. Target: 902.

Evadne: -
Tim: 903. (10 + 8) x 50 + 3 (7)
RR: 902. (75 + 7) x (8 + 3) (10)
Score: 12–30 (max 51)

Rory talks about a study which tests people to see if they big themselves up after doing a task for the first time.

Round 7: O I A E L N D L W

Evadne: loined
Tim: LOANED (6)
DC: LOWLAND (7)
OT: ADINOLE (7) ALLOWED (7) INDWELL (7)
Score: 12–36 (max 58)

Ouch- Evadne will be annoyed that she did not declare LOANED despite having it. Tim now has a very comfortable lead.

Round 8: D S H U O E M I B

Evadne: HOUSED (6)
Tim: HOUSED (6)
DC: ombushed HIDEOUS (7)
OT: UMEBOSHI (8)
Score: 18–42 (max 66)

Round 9: 50, 75, 8, 3, 1, 1. Target: 737.

RR: 737. (((50 + 1) / 3) + 75) x 8 + 1 (10)
Score: 23–47 (max 76)

Both players are 10 out, while Rachel spots a great solution.

Teatime teaser: ROCKPACTS --> CRACKPOTS

Round 12: V R T E U I C O D

Evadne: COURTED (7)
Tim: COURTED (7)
DC: VIRTUED (7) OUTDRIVE (8)
Score: 37–68 (max 100)

Round 13: I E W N S A R G C

Evadne: CREASING (8)
Tim: SWEARING (8)
DC: SCREWING (8) WINCERS (7)
OT: RECASING (8) RESAWING (8)
Score: 45–76 (max 108)

Both players seem happy to spot 8s here :)

Round 14: 25, 100, 9, 10, 1, 6. Target: 215.

Evadne: 216.
Tim: 215. 25 x 9 - 10 (10)
Score: 45–86 (max 118)

Tim has gained some valuable points on the numbers today, whilst Evadne has unfortunately not been able to replicate the same.

Round 15: V A S A L I N E D

Tim buzzes on 17 seconds to say SAVA....SALAVINED which is incorrect.
Evadne does not buzz.
The answer was VANDALISE.
Final Score: 45–86 (max 128)

A rather silly and incomprehensible guess from Tim there, but he needn't worry, as he put in a decent showing to win comfortably today. Evadne came across very well, and will return to Nottingham with her goody bag.
