A third, matching 8 by the contestants. It could be hard to separate these two.

Ann: PROBATES (8)
Tim: PROBATES (8)
OT: PASTORIE (8) PREBAITS (8) SEPTORIA (8)
Score: 42–42 (max 42)

No surprises here as both players spot the same 8, again!

Ann: LLANERO (7)
Tim: LONELY (6)
DC: PLENARY (7)

DC: ENDOCARP (8)
OT: OPERANCE (8) PARDONEE (8)

A few tough 8's available, but the players stick with 7's.

Round 13: B Q D I A R E L A

Ann: raidable
Tim: RIBALD (6)
DC: AIDABLE (7)
OT: BEDRAIL (7) BRAAIED (7) BRAILED (7) RADIALE (7) RAILBED (7) RIDABLE (7)
Score: 97–96 (max 107)

Ann's lead is cut as she risks the perfectly plausible RAIDABLE. Had she dropped the R or first A she would've had an allowable 7.

Round 14: 8, 6, 75, 50, 25, 100. Target: 516.

Ann: 512.
Tim: 516. (50/25+75)*8-100 (10)

Tim's favoured 4 large pays dividends and he takes the lead right at the death.

Round 15: M A G I C P O R T

Ann buzzes on 28 seconds to say PICTOGRAM which is correct.
Final Score: 107–106 (max 127)

Just when we thought it was all over, Ann's buzzer went and she snatched victory from the jaws of defeat.

What a game! Such a shame someone had to lose.

I had RAIDABLE and RIDABLE written down in round 13. Having decided RAIDABLE was too dodgy I should have declared RIDABLE (I didn't because I wasn't sure if it needed an E after the D); the 6 points from RIBALD were no use to me at all at that point.
