David: maimer
Paul: MARMITE (7)
OT: TRAMMIE (7)
Score: 18–39 (max 40)
A great seven from our challenger with Marmite which is nothing to do with the disgusting and horrible taste of it, something I really hate !!!!!
but a French cooking pot and a small m used in the spelling which is allowed in Countdown whereas the capital M is not allowed as it is a brand name.

David: pashers
Paul: PHRASED (7)
DC: RHAPSODES (18)
Score: 25–105 (max 117)
A darrenic 9 from DC with RHAPSODES one I spotted myself
Round 14: 50, 9, 10, 9, 8, 6. Target: 724.
David: 723. 9 × 10 × 8 + 9 − 6 (7)

OT: ( 9/9 ) + 50 ) x ( 8 +6 ) + 10
Score: 32–112 (max 127 )
Paul has just realised that he knows how to do 724 but that will not make any difference to the overall score as he is now moving into the champions chair !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Round 15: M Y C R E A T O R
OH YES PAUL IS THERE LIKE SPEEDING BULLET !!!!!!!
Paul buzzes on 1.5 seconds to say CREMATORY which is correct
Final Score : 32-122 ( max 137 )
A brilliant debut from our very own Mr Erdunast with a score of 122, if he can produce scores like this we have an excellent octochamp in the making !!! But take nothing away from David Armstrong who put up a really brave fight today, but was very unfortunate to run into Paul who was in sparkling form on his debut.
Join Anthony Endsor for tomorrows recap to see if Paul will get second win.
So in the meantime bye for now.......

Susie misread the definition of POUNDAL. And everybody seemed blissfully unaware that "an acceleration of one foot per second" makes no sense....
(Not to mention that it actually came out as "icceleration"....)

Her mind must have only been going a few knots per hour when she said it, I guess.Stewart Gordon wrote:Susie misread the definition of POUNDAL. And everybody seemed blissfully unaware that "an acceleration of one foot per second" makes no sense....
I'm not dead yet. In a rut right now because of stress from work. I'll be back later in S89. I also plan to bring back the Mastergram - if I can find a way to run a timer or clock through pure MediaWiki without having to upload to Vimeo every time.
