Friday 11th December 2015 (Series 73, Prelim 113)

Post by Anthony Endsor »

Hello and welcome to another Friday recap. :) With the end of the series fast approaching, the race is on now to see who will start series 74 as champion. There is only 1 more game after this one before the Quarter Finals, so Tuesday will see us enter the concluding stages of this series. Before that however, there is still work to do. Jamie Collyer has won 3 games and is looking for a 4th today. In the hope of starting series 74 as champion, he needs 2 more wins to carry his bat forward into 2016. James Gallagher stands in his way today though. He'll be looking to get to the next series himself. Enjoy.

Round 15: B R E A D C U B E

No one buzzes. The answer was BARBECUED.

After the conundrum was left cooking for 30 seconds, nobody got BARBECUED. Well done to a gentleman in the audience who won himself a mug. :)

Final Score: 84–58 (max 123)

So it's a 4th win for Jamie Collyer. He is now just one win away from reaching the promised land of series 74, by which time he will have had time to recover from the cold he is suffering from, giving him a much better chance of advancing even further. Will he make it, or will somebody else come along on Monday and take that place themselves? Join Andy McGurn on Monday to find out. I'll be back next Friday. In the meantime thank you very much for reading and goodbye. :)
