JOHN FORSYTHE: 1918-2010

Post by Jason Larsen »

John Forsythe, who you Brits all know as the guy who made Charlie's Angels famous, died at the age of 92 of lung cancer.

If you don't believe me, take a look at this link.

I thought you were having a bit of a late April Fools' joke on us Jason, but I checked it and you are right.

I still cannot believe that a man of 92 has died....

He had lung cancer for a year.

Why do we not find out when famous people are sick?

When Charlie's Angels was at its height I used to get people (well, women actually) at cashouts smiling at me and saying something slightly humorous when they looked at my bank card. Thank you, John Forsythe!

Maybe because dying could be considered quite a private and personal thing?

For the same reason we knew about John Forsythe dying, Jason. Because it was on the news.

We didn't know a year in advance that he was dying, though. Why not?
