Wireless headphones assistance

Hi,

I'm looking to connect a pair of wireless headphones to an amp (connected to a turntable). This is because the turntable/speaker set up is right underneath our bedroom and her ladyship does not appreciate the dulcet tones of Dire Straits and Leonard Cohen

I haven't yet got the headphones. I'd be around 15-20 metres from the source so think RF might be better? The amp (National Panasonic from I think the 70s) has just a 6.5mm output so I guess I need to convert to 3.5mm, then an RF thing plugs into there and transmits wirelessly to my headphones.

Any suggestions on brand? I have always liked Sony and Sennheiser but the cost for these is around £80 - Bluetooth are cheaper but not fully sure how to get it working and whether it will go over that distance?

When I add the cost of a bluetooth transmitter the prices are getting closer anyway...

Any thoughts on the best way to do this appreciated :)

Thanks for the help everyone ;)

I've managed to get some RF headphones and an adaptor for total cost £45.50 :)

Now I can hear every snap, crackle and pop on the vinyl.
