Almost. Unless I've somehow arsed up and missed some stuff, I'm pretty sure that the correct standings as of right now are:

1. Mark Deeks: 149
2. Jim Bentley: 135
3. James Laverty: 128
4. Andy McGurn: 80
5. Thomas Carey: 55
6. Euan Slatter: 28

(Differences: Andy had Peter Sallis, so 24 points more; Marc didn't pick Sallis at all).

Blimey Marc, you're full of surprises! Never had you down as a Linkin Park fan.

Random music fact: they wanted to be called Lincoln Park, but www.lincolnpark.com was taken, so they changed it to Linkin Park.

I can't pretend that I ever liked his band, but yes, this is sad. Only 41.

I got into them through my kids playing Mereora and Hybrid Theory constantly . Ive seen them live three times.
In fact I am a bit of a jinx when it comes to watching live artistes and them dying young.....Queen, Michael Jackson, Soundgarden, Prince, George Michael and Bowie......I'm worried for Stevie Wonder and Sting now

2016 was an extraordinary year regarding celebrity deaths, in terms of the amount, the fame levels, and the unexpectedly young ages.
It won't be matched any time soon.

Sorry for the delay, only just got around to updating this. With the death of Brucey, some movement has occurred on the leaderboard:

1. Mark Deeks: 213
2. James Laverty: 159
3. Jim Bentley: 135
4. Andy McGurn: 80
5. Marc Meakin: 56
6. Thomas Carey: 55
7. Euan Slatter: 28
8. Ben Wilson: 24

It's hotting up! However, my falling to third place is...troublesome. I may have to undertake certain activities to rectify this prior to the year end, we'll see.

It is a bit of a coincidence them dying within a month of one another but it's not a connection I'd expect most people to make. Malcolm I would perhaps expected to have got a comment on here, what with AC/DC and that, but George? Not so much. I knew who he was but I'm a pop music nerd and the news of his death passed even me by for a few days; I don't think it was widely reported.

Angus is still alive of course.
