And whilst I used to watch Hollyoaks, I also know of Stephanie Davis because she was cast off the back of one of those Lloyd Webber musical searches that my Grandma watched, and cause she was in the papers last year for being sacked from Hollyoaks.

Actually just in case anyone is composing a Venn diagram, the five I knew were Daniella Westbrook, celebrity love rat Darren Day, David Gest, Nancy Del'Ollio and Angie Bowie. Pretty predictable really.

Mostly the same for me, although I'm not sure I'd give myself a point for recognising someone's surname and being able to guess who they are. Also, although I'd heard of David Gest in the dim and distant past, and was partly aware in the past who he was, it took this discussion to remind me, so if someone had asked me before reading this thread who he was, I might have struggled. There's also a David Guetta isn't there? The two easily confused. And Westbrook - I knew she was the nose woman but I might have Gest the wrong soap (don't wash your nose with cocaine).

Having not watched Celebrity Big Brother I'm just going by the names so I might recognise some of these people. E.g. I've just seen that I recognise Gemma Collins from 8/10 Cats.

Nah, I believe Peter, I think he's the only remaining member of this forum who is twice my age (although not for much longer). Why would a man in his eighties know any of this collection of has-beens, almost-weres and wannabes? Really the only one that I would give credence to Peter having even heard of is Angie Bowie, and if I have Peter's age right, he'd have been in his forties when she was "doing stuff" so could well be completely unaware of her.

I still find it a bit surprising. I mean I don't think I've done anything much "age-related" to have heard of the ones I've heard of, other than having a television and turning it on sometimes. I largely ignore the things they're "famous" for, but you just sometimes hear of these people. I mean, people used to go on about Nancy Dallaglio (whatever) quite a lot didn't they? And I did nothing to encourage them.

Haha, me too. I could probably even name half a dozen of them, but some of that is because I'm into music and so...well, Kanye West etc. And for the record, I doubt Peter has heard of the Kardashians as he seems to be sensible enough not to buy into the whole celebrity shitfest.

Heard of 4 of them (only recognise one of those from a pic though) and recognise another one although didn't know her name. Such a shit line-up

Sir Cliff Richard, Nigel Farage, Roy Hodgson, Maria Sharapova,Diana Ross,Lindsay Lohan, Michael Gove, Tom Jones, Billy Idol, Frank Skinner, Michael Stipe, Bobby Brown etc etc etc..... are any of them actually going in? or have the tabloid's been telling "porkies" again!

I don't actually know, but I seriously doubt if any of those will be in it. It'll be the usual round-up of bitter has-beens and people who are only known for appearing on similar shows, I guess.

If Cliff Richard was to appear though, I'd definitely watch. Just the possibility that the weird freak might give away something incriminating about his sordid past would be too much of an opportunity to miss.
