So, following Sohail's dramatic defeat on Friday, the finalists for the series have now been confirmed, so it's now time to find out who our carryover champion for Series 68 will be............. (Although, whoever is the said champion will have a long wait, as thanks to the 30th Birthday Championship, Series 68 won't start till March 4th, 2013 )

Our new champion is one of our own, Rachael Moran, can she win the final 2 prelims this week to return in March for a shot of octochampdom.............

Back in DC this week for his 7th spell with Susie is comedian Dave Spikey.

P.S. Note, there's no Friday showing thanks to the horse racing at Cheltenham, hence the finals are starting on Wednesday, and not the usual Thursday. (Although, if it's frozen or rained off, then Matt Croy's special will be on in its place. )

Back to normal after my three day weekend in Birmingham for the World Youth Scrabble Championships where Jessica Pratesi competed amongst Australia's/Thailand's/Malaysian's/Pakistan's and Sri Lankans cream of Youth Scrabble. It meant I missed Friday and Sohail's final fling. It's Jessica's last WYSC and she finished 9th for the third time in three years of competitions!
