So, after the nail-biter yesterday, here's the tie that should, statistically at least, be the most nail-biting of all, the battle between the #4 and #5 seeds.

And our combatants today are, the #4 Seed, Suzi "The Market Harborough Matriarch" Purcell, and the #5 Seed, Nick "The Stratford-Upon-Avon Shakespearean" Hall.

Here are the stats for you to enjoy:

Firstly, No.4 Seed Suzi Purcell - 8 Wins, 686 Points (Average: 85.75)
Highest Score: 106 vs. Jamie Lock (2nd Game)
Lowest Score: 67 vs. Matthew Walker (8th Game)
9's Achieved: 0/6
Total Points/Max/%: 686/1025 (67%)
Letters Points/Max/%: 470/738 (64%)
Numbers Points/Max/%: 156/207 (75%)
Conundrum Points/Max/%: 60/80 (75%)

Secondly, No.5 Seed Nick Hall - 6 Wins, 588 Points (Average: 84)
Highest Score: 96 vs. Luke Spencer (6th Game)
Lowest Score: 69 vs. Catherine Johnson (7th Game)
9's Achieved: 0/5
Total Points/Max/%: 588/884 (67%)
Letters Points/Max/%: 407/604 (67%)

Kieran will be around with the recap later. ;) :) :D

A very enjoyable game. Unlucky to Suzi who I thought was very impressive.

Well done to Nick for keeping his cool, shame Suzy missed on the numbers.
The easy way to 878 is ((100+10)x8)-(5-3) of course.

As I prothesized, another nail-biter, although with 3 rounds to go, you wouldn't have guessed it. Very good comeback by Nick.

MOPIER in round 2, OPERANDS in round 4, MINORED in round 7.

3rd Numbers Alt.: (100 + ((8 + 1) x 9)) x 4 = 724

You are objectively correct this time. (Because that's how I got it.)

A difficult surgical procedure, I think, or a risky party trick. Or a made-up word?

Anyway, nothing constructive to add other than I've been enjoying the QFs so far - top quality entertainment, aided by the great Phil Hammond. Congratulations to all of the contestants.

Prophesied, I suspect. Though if it's any comfort, someone else has already used your version.
