Bugger, missed TINSTONE - I think I would have risked it, John, on the basis that OILSTONES is allowed but that basis may be flimsy. I only had MIDSOLE today as a beater in one of the later, if not the last, round.

It's probably one of those ambiguous ones, John.

ODE2r lists Tinstone as a noun, without the mass qualifier.

However, Tinstone is defined as another term for CASSITERITE, and Cassiterite is specified as a mass noun.

To further complicate things, Cassiterite is defined as a mineral, and often minerals are regarded as an exception to the mass noun rule.

Denise McHale is indeed the first Fireball Hottie of Series 59! She's gorgeous! And she seems so youthful, too! Now, I have a question about her:

She said she wanted to break a world record involving snails. What was it? She sure didn't explain it very well!

Anyway, I'm glad she won her first game!

"Most snails on her face" I think she said. Not sure there's much room for misinterpretation there.

Mind you, the whole "snails on face" thing is actually a cover story for when her husband came home just after I'd been round, and asked what the viscose translucent streaks all over her face were 8-)

Jon, now I understand it but I don't believe it!

And how do you know Denise McHale's husband?

 Just read this and I'm at work getting weird looks. Probably think I'm looking at dodgy sites again ;) This post and Jason's response have to be the funniest post combination I've read.

So Jon, how do you know her husband? Too funny.
