Spoilers For Monday March 28th 2011

Post by James Robinson »

So, we have passed the 50 episode mark in this series, and we already have 4 octochamps, and hopefully plenty more good times ahead. ;) :) :D (Well there is for me certainly, or so I hope.... )

Right, following Andy reaching octochampdom on Thursday, Rhonda Holden became the champion on Friday in the first all-female clash on the show for a long time. But for how long can she last :?:

Back by popular demand in DC, hoping to carry on from where he left off at the finals of the last series, is magician extraordinaire, Paul Zenon.

Just so you don't avoid confusion, it'll be me who will provide you with the recap entertainment tonight. ;) :) :D

One word about the 3rd numbers game; THICKOS!

(75 x 3) - (6 x 5) - 5 + 7 - 6.

What that not hard enough?

I don't think THICKOS is the right word here, that method is not simple.

What was with that guy trying to get three letters ahead of Rachel when he was picking?

Not sure what solution you meant to offer but that method uses 7 numbers and
doesn't make 181. (7+3) x (5+5) + 6 + 75 is 181 as alternative.

Ha, yeah that was pretty annoying. It made for a real long pause all the time whilst Rachel caught up. I thought today's edition could have been retitled Countdownies.

1st Numbers Alt.: (100 - 9 - 2) x 5 = 445
2nd Numbers Alt.: (100 - 8) x 2 = 184
3rd Numbers Alt.: ((7 - 3) x 5 x 5) + 75 + 6 = 181

RELEASOR and SOLDERER in round 3, PARETIC, PARTITE and TACKIER in round 8, MEGARON in round 9.

Funny, I normally enjoy a close game, but this one left me unmoved. It wasn't helped by some uninspiring selections of letters, but the contestants didn't exactly shine.

Oh, and an uninspiring FINALE in the FELINE round.

The best unintentional pun I've had was when I was due to have my chimney lined last year, and I got an email to say that the fitter wouldn't be able to come on the day he was due "because he had the flue".

Once I hurt myself and I was waiting for the first aider, but it turned out he couldn't make it because he had AIDS.
