Once again, I'm sure Carol was writing the solution before Phillipa was giving it.

I'm sure she had +8 before Phillipa said it. And then the X appeared before Phillipa said times.

Yes, she wrote it up there beforehand but I have my doubts that Philippa is the next Jeffrey Hansford.

It's this new plague of 3 vowel players, it's getting a bit annoying (although admittedly the 4 vowel rounds have been pretty lame too this game).

IIRC wasn't HEADSCARF the Goatdown Conundrum used at COLIN 2007?

I had yet another.

(4 + (7+3)/10) x 75 + 6

Strangely, I've only watched two games live in the last decade, and both turned out to very similar in that way.

Did DC mention HEIGHT in the HILIGHT/HITLER round. Also ENROBING as an anagram of RINGBONE.

I got the conundrum after the 30 secs just before it was revealed.

Ok, David. If I find myself free at 3:30 again, I'll bugger off and walk the dog. :)

Yeah I've noticed she does that, I find that quite annoying. In the same way, they again disallowed PILATES* before the young lady gave her word, so if she'd have thought quickly enough (and been dishonest enough) she could have tried something else.

She did look very strong and I think she could win a few more, she looked as good as Peter Davies did in his first game. I was a bit surprised at PILATES, I thought she might have the eight there because she played very well, but still I don't expect her to lose tomorrow.

Martin
If you cut a gandiseeg in half, do you get two gandiseegs or two halves of a gandiseeg?

Having got only 73 from 117 with such flat selections, I'd be surprised if she made it beyond a third game. It would be nice though if she won a few more as she seemed to enjoy herself, much better than an endless stream of dour old blokes.

Don't forget though, there have been some good contestants who we all thought would do good but then lost after only a few days, this series. Griffin may surprisingly become an octochamp. Anythings possible.

Its possible this was a retake and edited together, although yes Carol does seem to premonish what people are going to say.

I'd like Philippa to win a few more because she seemed pleased to be there. I also like her accent and the way her body looks, and wouldn't mind objectifying her over the next few days.

You disgust me.

Also, what kind of plum refers to a young lady by her surname? :|
