Spoilers For Thursday January 14th 2010
As the first week draws to a conclusion, we see Oliver in the champions' chair after demolishing gay air steward Troy yesterday. Can he continue his run today?
In what seems to be a week of anniversaries this week, today it's 1 year since the word GANDISEEG first came to prominence on the show. Where would this show be without it
Brian Capron's been in good form in DC this week. How many more times are we going to see CAPRON in a selection when he's on the show. Maybe it actually will be a word in the near future.
Still, I'll see you all for the recap later tonight.

I notice you don't find it necessary to mention the sexual orientation of straight contestants.James Robinson wrote:As the first week draws to a conclusion, we see Oliver in the champions' chair after demolishing gay air steward Troy yesterday.

Maybe, James is trying to reclaim the word, gay, meaning happy.
Although I have to say he is more guilty of tautology than homophobia.

I was more worried that in yesterday's missive, he claimed Troy had a husband.

Is that due to my unnatural consumption of water during the show or untimed water drinking whilst on? Or something else?Marc Meakin wrote:Trust you to spot a water related incidentRyan Taylor wrote:Did Oliver just inhale that water..he didn't seem to swallow!

Hehe that's what I did when I was first on.Ryan Taylor wrote:Tough conundrum, I liked Andy buzzing in "just to press the buzzer"!
Another great game, Oliver, well done. That's two opponents now that have been down and out and decided to go 4 large and/or 6 small just for fun. Unlucky if you're looking for that points total. I was lucky in that I didn't have many that did this...I'd like to believe that being a maths teacher scared them out of playing such games!
The guy who lost today looked gracious in defeat and was a real sport I thought. A nice handshake.
Edit: I was so tempted to go for BELLEND in round 12. Sadly, it's not in.
