Spoilers For Thursday September 24th 2009

Post by James Robinson »

It's another Countdown, which can only mean 2 things.

1. We get to see Jeffrey go for 7 wins. :)

2. We get to see Rachel in another stunning outfit. ;) :) :D

Although, I don't know about you, but comapred to Monday's & Tuesday's outfits I was slightly disappointed with yesterday's ensemble. But, I'm no fashionista and everyone has their own opinion and I've already seen some more of her new outfits, having been at next week's shows, so I have some sort of idea of what to expect.

Anyway, good luck Jeffrey. :D

I've taken the day off work to watch. Lucky I don't have a proper job really [(C) J. Robinson 2009]. I would've saved it til tomorrow in the hope of seeing the octogame, but I can't take Fridays off :(

Excellent. Looking forward to some round-by-round beaters from the Reamster!

And what if I get a max game, huh? :P

I liked Rachel's dress yesterday as well, as did my mum. Then again, Rachel could wear a potato sack and I'd still be on Youtube five minutes later typing in 'Rachel Riley potato sack 23rd September'.

A final vowel in Round 3 would've been O for GEODESICS. Shame :(

But good start for JB :)

PANTOUM in Round 8 (or 9?). Bit of a blindspot for DC I think.

INDUNAS as a beater in round 7 and MADRONOS as a beater in round 13. I missed PANTOUM and UNBOLTS though - nice ones.

Was that our very own apterite Laura Leach on today?

Edit: wow, in the UNBOLTS round there were 10 sevens and I missed them all. :o

Doh! In the last letters round I thought there was a 9, SZORMANDO. I checked it up and I was talking bollocks. Good job I stuck with MADRONOS I thought. Turns out there was a 9 - SMORZANDO. Argh, so close and would have been an awesome declaration.

Yes it was, she was really lovely as well- I felt really guilty watching it back today, I didn't realise I was as far ahead as 50. Was pleased she got some nice spots at the end though to give her a good score.

I thought I might have got a max letters game today bar PROSAIC (which I'd never heard of), but c4c scuppers my dreams once again! That said, I've never heard of INDUNAS, MADRONOS or PANTOUM either, though UNBOLTS I do know.

Furthermore, how on earth you got near SMORZANDO I'll never know Kirk. That is an insane shout.

That's still the jizziest nine since EXOPHORIC.

There was another 9 in round 12 in this game that the solver produced but I'd never heard of. There were so many awesome maxima in this game - a lovely 8 in round 7 too which the solver threw out.

I don't like to spoil other people's chances if they wanna show off but I'm going to make an exception since you asked. These are all obtained from solvers:

Round 3: DESCRIES (I had DECRIES damn it)
Round 7: PANDANUS (sexy)
Round 12: CARYOPSIS (sexy sexy)
Round 13: SMORZANDO (sexy sexy sexy)

If someone got a max game today, I'll have your babies.

I thought of the crazy nine PSORYASIC in the PROSAIC round, but when looked in my dictionary it was having none of it.

Fair enough on the spoiling showy offy chances, but if anyone got rounds 7, 12 or 13 then you're gonna have to bonk Jo Brand.

Oh, and the audience were bloody rude today whilst Colin did his anecdote, I thought that was really interesting and there was no applause.

(P.S. I will stand up for Colin all the time now after him saying I'm in the top 11 bachelors, that made my fucking year!) :D

Seems to be some sort of assumption going on there :?: She may not be that interested. ;)

Excellent stuff again today Jeffrey, and totally agreed about Colin Murray, he's been really good all week. I'd like to think that it was all my idea to have him on the show, but it probably had nothing to do with it :D

Great stuff today Jeffrey, probably your best performance as the letters weren't the easiest. Felt sorry for your opponent as apart from a dodgy spell in the middle of the show, she didn't do too badly.

I got LECTION and LACTONE in round 3, I think it was and HOTTIE in round 6. (Probably think of Rachel with that one. ;) )

3rd numbers alternative:

6 + 5 = 11

11 x 2 = 22

5 - 2 = 3

22 - 3 = 19

19 x 50 = 950

Kirk,

PANDA ANUS = very sexy?
If I suddenly have a squirming baby on my lap it probably means that I should start paying it some attention and stop wasting my time messing around on a Countdown forum

I was disappointed with whoever it was not picking a final vowel in an early round (3?), because if they had it would have allowed the rather lovely GEODESICS.

Also there was one round where all I could see was POONTANG, except there was only one N :(

Well raccoons are most commonly associated with north america, which is, like, 5 hours behind. And I'm drunk, so call it 47.
