So there we have it, a Conservative Majority of 80 in the End with the last result (St. Ives) coming in at the time of the Original Broadcast. Alright, now that we know we have more Tory rule ahead, let's get on with the Review! (Brexit, well that's another matter :P )

Letters: Jamie gets off to a great start with PETALOID to beat Tom's commendable PLOATED. Despite falling behind in the Numbers Round, Tom did what he could, with him spotting AUTOCARS and Jamie getting AUTORADS, both excellent spots in Round 12. But alas, it all fell apart in Round 13 when ROUTINISE certainly sealed Tom's fate by then... :(

Numbers: Jamie sticks with what he's familiar with but oh, Tom decides to gamble with six small! Oh dear, it backfires on him in Round 6 with Jamie getting it spot on! :( Fortunately that was made up in Round 14 with Tom getting it spot on with him. Round 3 was also a bit tricky as well...

Conundrum: Wow this wasn't an easy one, and I admit defeat on this one. Luckily, the Electrical Engineer himself knew it and I'm sure Tom must be so proud he got it in the end!! :D Must have been quite coincidental and who would have thought...

I predicted Jamie would win by around 45 points and it wasn't quite far off with the margin at 43 points. Tom, you certainly have been practising well behind-the-scenes for the last five months. Unfortunately, it's always those crucial "Nines" the opponent gets that seals the fate and sadly that's been the case for a few episodes in this Series. :( Nevertheless, it was a pleasure to see you on-screen and see you fending off opponents in the Preliminaries with those nail-biting Crucial Conundrums all the time! You played well and hope to see you around on Apterous!

As for Jamie, well-played and keep up the momentum as we await your return on Thursday!

Alright, one last week of Countdown in 2019 to go, it's been an exhilarating year not to say the least. Next in line, we've got "Like Father Like Son" Paul Nixon who is back stronger than ever after a 22-year absence on-screen and "Another Retiree Finalist who performed Brilliantly" John Osmond. Get set for more action to end of the year and the decade!

Progress:
QF1 (12 December): James Haughton (#1) vs David Law (#8) (147 - 60)
QF2 (13 December): Jamie Wing (#2) vs Tom Silverlock (#7) (121 - 78)
QF3 (16 December): Paul Nixon (#3) vs John Osmond (#6)
QF4 (17 December): Morgan Sauer (#4) vs Andy Evans (#5)
SF1 (18 December): James Haughton (QF1 Winner) vs (QF4 Winner)
SF2 (19 December): Jamie Wing (QF2 Winner) vs (QF3 Winner)
GF (20 December): (SF1 Winner) vs (SF2 Winner)
