Well done both.

Well, what a game by both, clearly the practice made perfect for both. Can't help but feel for Eoin, who may have been able to beat Mr Cowen yesterday. 109 is still a cracking score, though. Strong consistency helped Noel in the end, and both players were ahead of me at times and I never escaped the crucial margin with any of them, it was only a punt at the conundrum at the end which got it for me.
My scores for today:
Me:120-111 (Noel)
Me:120-109 (Eoin).

Yeah... it was great watching that back.
Very enjoyable game to be a part of... though I never expected that making a 6 from 5 and 1 would cause such difficulties! ;)

I actually gandiseeg-ed the conundrum... which would have been a terribly cringeworthy moment to watch back. Even as I was doing it, it seemed like a dumb thing to do. Thankfully, it was cut and re-shot. (I owe the Countdown Team a massive 'thank you' for that.)

Noel deserved the win, especially as his numbers were stronger than mine.
If the rounds were fractionally longer than 30s (or if the nerves weren't jangling as much) he'd have had a comfortable 29pt lead going into a non-crucial conundrum.

It was very fun watching it back! I think the score line was fairly accurate of our comparative abilities, we had a pretty even head to head on Apterous.

33rd highest joint score ever *high five*

Fantastic game chaps it really was.

Great run Eoin - enjoyable to watch and I was sure you were going to go for randomite when you seemed unsure in the monradite round!

Did you actually say gandiseeg in the omitted buzz?

CLASSIC jackson.

No, I had the word. Just took around 25s to see DOMINATER which is my falsie for MONRADITE.
The unsureness was fake news. Just playing.

I did... but it didn't come across well. Also, I mentioned Countdown's very own 'he who must not be named', so it had to be cut.

haha, I suppose so. For some reason, this reminds me of a stat... my max percentage for the QF was 77%. Apt! :geek:

Yep, and the highest of S77 thus far too! :)
Nice.

Probably the best game of the series so far!
