Spoilers for Monday 30th October 2017 (Series 77, Prelim 84)

Rob was very unlucky with UNWISEST, something that is very obviously a word.

MADERISE in R11

I agree that he was unlucky with UNWISEST, but Lexplorer says no, nevertheless, his letters are very strong.

unwisest sounds reasonable, but unwiser sounds silly. I would suggest both bits to need to not sound silly to be specified

(This is why I'm not in charge of the dictionary)
Possibly the first contestant to accelerate with a mic clipped...

MICROXEA to match ANOREXIC in R13.

Also had MADERISE in R11 by remembering my falsagram, dreamies. My mum thought of this and thought of our cat. ;)

Aye they are on the strong side, he's clearly quite well practised.

I admit to being guilty of the same offence of Rob and essentially copying off Tom at the final conundrum ;) . Rob was strong today and already gained his first medalled word, CLIPPERS (which is slightly surprising that it's medalled tbh). I think his numbers are a bit rusty and only really seemed competent when there was a 100 there. However, 94 is still very solid. It would be interesting to see if he stays on and how he does in the games to come....
My scores today:
Me:123-71(Rob)
Me:123-24 (Tom)

It always surprises me that when contestants can get near the target by multiplying the large number by something they fail to see that all they need to do is adjust the multiplicand by using one of the small numbers, as Rachel showed in the first and third numbers rounds here.

I didn't think UNWISEST would be in and when Susie was being all impressed with it and it turned out not to be in, I was thinking "Yeah, look it up first". Gave the guy false hope.
