Colin White won yesterday, but he has to contend with the challenge of long term apterite Thomas Carey today. Who will come up on top?

Brilliant debut performance, Tom, so much for your apparent pre-match nerves! Unlucky on chickening ADIPATES but apart from that, pretty much faultless. There was a tough nine in round 8, which I only know about because Tom told me. I probably wouldn't have got it.

In round 10 (ALIENIST) Jessica saw LATINISE^ - but it's capitalised in the online dictionary. If ROMANISE is OK (it has both capital and lowercase entries) found it strange LATINISE^ wasn't as well.

Jess didn't spot the nine but saw fit not to go for OUTLAID^ in round 2 (WITHAL round).

I predicted the score to be 60-120: I got one of them right! Well done, especially the non-standard method 3L solve.

My favourite part of this episode was Tom's introduction...

Heh, thanks everyone. Especially Graeme for that gif.

Fun story: after the game, Tracey told me that had I not chickened ADIPATES that would have been a max ( the first ever debut max at that) so I was quite pissed off. It was only about 15 minutes later when Matty checked the rounds that he told me BROADACRE was hiding away. More relief there.

Holy shit I was awkward.
