Tom Cappleman has an extremely impressive run through his six wins so far. Can he end the week with a 7th?

Tom had more than a week off since the last show. Dropped three points in R2 so hope he isn't out of practice!

At least two 7s and an 8 in the invalid "littler" round.

Beaters available in the last two letters rounds too - but in practice in the numbers. So well done again to Tom.

Yeah, the audience brigade of me, Tracey, Chris and Zubair got the brilliant 9 of MUSCADINE in round 12 and GIRASOL in round 13. 8-)

Nice little treat knowing that we got to see Tom at the end of his run, as well as being able to see Gerry Tynan too, who will be making his début on Thursday. 8-)

POUSSIN/SUASION in round 1, ADRIFT/DIAPIR in round 4, TRIOLET in round 11.

1st Numbers Alt. (2 away, which was best): ((100 - 1) x 8) - 50 - (75 / 25) = 739
4th Numbers Alt.: ((75 + 7) x 10) + 3 - 2 = 821

If Tom were to lose his next match, would he be considered a member of the 800 Club or not?
I'm not dead yet. In a rut right now because of stress from work. I'll be back later in S89. I also plan to bring back the Mastergram - if I can find a way to run a timer or clock through pure MediaWiki without having to upload to Vimeo every time.

LITTLER/LITTLEST were explicitly specified in the COD8 and COD9, and derivable as regular forms in the COD7 (a two-syllable adjective ending in -le after a consonant). I think "more little" sounds ludicrous and clearly there are degrees of littleness, so I can understand Susie's obvious surprise.

The first numbers game is one of those that can be solved exactly if you allow the use of fractions.

The ODO also finds it if you search for LITTLER, but as has been discussed, the search box has been discredited as a reliable arbiter.

Also DC said GUMBOS without saying whether it was GUMBOES (which would have been a contestant beater) or GUMBOS. It's GUMBOS. Bit slack though!
