I thought US words are okay, not US spellings, though of course it is not in ODE3.

I foresaw a mistake like this happening: the "Entry from US English dictionary" isn't particularly emphasized (it could be in bold or a different colour). At least DC didn't offer a word from the Spanish dictionary.
