Spoilers for Wednesday December 3rd 2014 (S71 P99)

Post by Jordan F »

Antoinette Ryan secured her fifth win and a place in the finals yesterday. Now she's aiming to get as high of a seed as she can. First, she'd like a sixth win, which can put her ahead of Paul Worsley for 7th, depending on score. Can she get it?

Join James for the recap later.

Quite an important game for her I would say.

For all the quality of the other finalists, avoiding a quarter final with Mr McColm must surely be a good thing. And a win today means she would be likely to end up avoiding his half of the draw entirely.

Anyone know was there a break between yesterday and today's recordings? If so it might explain Antoinette's
change of number strategy. However it was not as hard as she hoped - my favourite method is 25 sqaured + 300.

Careful Jon, actually, it was Alistair McGowan's scalp that I was scrutinizing today, he was practically bald a few years ago and now look!
Cue the leave Alistair alone campaign!

They only film for 3 or 4 days of the month, Antoinette was at the end of one month's block and continued her run in the next block.

Hopefully they can be cheered up with the knowledge that it's valid, just spelt MEGAPODE.

MEGAPOD is an acceptable word in SCRABBLE and does appear in some dictionaries, although obviously not the one used on Countdown, which I'm now happy to accept.

Yes, I always like it when I can spot Formula 1 words, although PITS and CAR are usually the best I can manage.
