Spoilers For Monday June 2nd 2014
It's a brand new week and a brand new month, but unfortunately, the same old story as Countdown is being plagued once more by horse racing, although luckily they have managed to trim it down to just 1 day of disruption, that being Friday.
So, following Samir's octorun which was completed on Friday, we're back to square one with 2 new contestants, both who will be trying to aim for the one remaining spot in the series finals, which begin a week on Friday.
Myleene Klass is in DC all week, with the exception of Thursday, when Chris Packham returns for another stint.
Join Andy for the recapper later.

Please don't ever greet the return of Chris Packham with a grin again...
Possibly the first contestant to accelerate with a mic clipped...

Re: Spoilers For Monday June 2nd 2014
MASHIES/MESSIAH in round 4, OVIDUCT in round 7, RELAXIN in round 8, NEARSIDE in round 10, FALSIES/SALSIFY in round 12 and PLEDGET in round 13.
1st Numbers Alt.: ((100 - 25) x 9) + 1 = 676
3rd Numbers Alt.: (75 + 50 - (6 x 2)) x 3 = 339
Seemed a bit of an unnecessary risk from Carrie there with outpledge in the last round, as presumably she had PLEDGE, which would've kept the gap at 10 and forced a possible tiebreak............

He certainly seemed to have "ended round early" as if he had the 9.Matt Morrison wrote:Was he doing a "brain surgery" charade?Steven M. McCann wrote:Roy's body language had me convinced he'd spotted OPERATING!

My alt was ((6x100)+75+3)/2 which was similar to Rachel's way.James Robinson wrote:3rd Numbers Alt.: (75 + 50 - (6 x 2)) x 3 = 339
Also there was 3x3+8 to make the 17 in the fourth numbers.

Re: Spoilers For Monday June 2nd 2014
I often find it strange when players don't make any declaration of a number. I was 3 away in the last numbers round without particularly trying. Unless it's 6 very small numbers with a large target, one should come within 10.

Strange things happens under the lights, I don't think anyone can be blamed for that.
For instance if your game was as strong in the studio as you often seem to suggest it is on here, you might have won your game on TV.

Sometimes I get close to the target but then spend the rest of the time trying to get exact, and when the time is up I often forget how I got close. If I do that at home I would think it would be even more likely in the studio.
