A letter in the Radio Times suggests Richard Osman as next Countdown host. Is Nick Hewer leaving?

You say that, but strictly, he doesn't, since he's not even the main host on Pointless :!:

Although, I do agree that he would be a good future host. 8-)

Richard Osman would make a fantastic Countdown host.

I don't mind Nick as host but Richard would be far superior.

Well I like Nick. He has his own, slightly abrasive style, but he's enjoyable to watch. There's a lot of tongue in cheek humour, such as the hyperbole for Susie's origin of words. He's also probably the most intellectual host since Richard in the way he discusses the words that are offered.

Obviously Richard Osman is very good on Pointless and would be a great Countdown host, but I'm sure he's far too busy with pointless and his tv production day job.

Why all this talk about Nick leaving. I like Nick, he makes me smile and I want him to stay.
