Category idea: Best-dressed contestant.

Nomination: My fashion advisor extraordinaire, Edward McCullagh.

I didn't PM the nomination as I wanted to draw attention to Ed.

Will you add accepted new categories (and existing categories from the Charlies 2010) to the original post so that people can send in their nominations?

Thanks for updating the OP Joseph. New category ideas inspired by today's edition of Countdown: 1) Best game involving two non-finalists; 2) Best game (generally). Nominations PM-ed.
Mike Brown: "Round 12: T N R S A E I G U

C1: SIGNATURE (18) ["9; not written down"]
C2: SEATING (7)
Score: 108–16 (max 113)

Another niner for Adam and yet another century. Well done, that man."

Anyone against having some co-event categories?

It is probably time I started doing this properly. Please get voting! I'll be taking categories until next Monday, noms up to Friday, votes up to Christmas Day and then results will be out at sometime before 2012 hopefully. JK

New category ideas:

Worst contestant
Worst contestant to win a game
Best player not to win a game
Best match
Worst match
Worst valid word offered by a contestant (based on letters available)
Most bizarre word offered by a contestant
Most amusing valid word offered by a contestant

Can "worst miss by player" refer to both letters and numbers or just one?

Worst miss is for both, apart from thatI don't like 'worsts'. Will consider the others.

Does "Best numbers solution by player" mean that they reached the target? Because the best was obviously Ed's 6 small in the final, where he didn't get it exact, but found the only way of getting within 15 either side of the target. When will the results be published?

I decided not to run it, there just wasn't enough interest.
