I'm really looking forward to this (even though I only just found about it, seems this is the place to be for insider Countdown knowledge!), Kirk and Chris both really stood out when I saw them in the previous series, so this should be a really exciting show (even if I'm probably going to feel really stupid by the end of it :P).

Don't worry, you wouldn't be the only one.

Heard a rumour some more specials have been filmed recently, can anyone (James) confirm or deny?

I heard that one has been filmed and shown, Nicki v Lee and that SPOILERS:Oliver v Jack was due to be filmed, but I haven't heard anything 'bout it since March.

I'm aware of Debbi Flack v Claudia Tyson being recorded (not sure what reason that is for.....), and due to be shown on July 25, I think, but it wouldn't be a surprise that more have been done.

They should make a Michael Chadwick vs Graham Hill, the #6 seeds who couldn't make it.

They should do a few specials for mediocre players who might have won a couple of games but were unlucky enough in their first heat to come up against future finalists. Obvious pairing for the first one: me versus Joseph Bolas.

Also found out from Debbi that 3 others were recorded, all between females who had been "unfortunate to lose", unfortunately, she couldn't remember any of the others who were there.

Any suggestions :?:

The winner to play Kate Richardson?

Or perhaps - in view of the premise - loser to play Kate Richardson?

While we're being sexist, how about Lisa Thomson v Gayle Smith?
