Countdown on Big Brother

Post by Julie T »

I can't quite believe I'm starting a thread about Big Brother, as I make a point of never watching such voyeuristic rubbish, but no-one else seems to have posted this yet (according to my search).

However, in an unprecedented rush of good taste, C4 has the housemates playing a game of Countdown on Monday 11th January with Series 61 Champion Chris Davies! :o 8-)

Awesome! I shall break my resolve to watch it just this once! Hope you enjoy your celebrity, Chris, way to go! :D

'kin 'ell that's cool 8-)

I had read in the paper they were going to get Rachel Riley in there. It would be awesome to see Chris too. Shame Jordan didn't go in with Dane Bowers and Alex Reid - they could teach her to read at the same time. Miaow.

Aptochat from Chris himself, then checked his Facebook page. According to Ollie's FB page, he'll be appearing on the Charlotte Church Show soon! 8-)

Maybe if you get onto Channel 4 and say you're up for any publicity, Kirk.... You never know, worth asking.
I'd watch a programme with you in it, even darts! :)

Great news.

I'd heard that there was a Celebrity Big Brother happening around now, but not until I read this thread and the facebook comments did I realise that it's already started.

So how's it going to happen, Chris? I understand that BB programmes usually show happenings from the previous 24 hours, so there's obviously going to be a very short time between the recording you make next Monday and the transmission. I guess that it'll be transmitted on Monday evening. Are you going to do your bit, together with Jeff and Rachel, in the Manchester studios? And is it going to be as well as, or instead of, one of the five programmes scheduled to be recorded that day? Very frustratingly, I've planned to go to Manchester on Tuesday next week. Now wishing I'd picked the Monday instead.

And Ollie, any idea when your encounter with Charlotte Church is likely to be transmitted?

It will be shown Tuesday evening. Everything has to be delayed that much so that each program finishes by covering the night-time hours, when they hope the Good Shit will happen.

I don't find him to be that weird. He talks a lot and tries to give advice to everyone, but apart from the God thing, he seems quite sane.

I like the fact that the Americans all think Alex Reid is the UK's most famous MMA fighter (with a realistic shot at branching out into acting), while Katia is only famous for being in a "public relationship".

I'm looking forward to seeing Chris take on the housemates. Considering some of them didn't know the meaning of "underwhelmed," I doubt it will be much of a contest.

Of course, I was only watching because there was nothing else on and I wanted to help Chris do his research and because I've watched almost every series and love Big Brother.

Haha - I will admit to mostly watching "normal" Big Brother but I don't tend to bother with the celebrity one. These so-called celebrities generally annoy me and I barely recognised any of them. There was Vinnie Jones, Dane Bowers and that guy Basshunter who I only recognised from Never Mind the Buzzcocks. Oh and the weird-looking one who went out with Ronnie Wood (not sure if she's got a name).

A couple of years ago a very good friend of mine went home after a night of heavy drinking in Galway with a girl he'd never previously met, who had appeared on some dodgy Irish reality Island adventure type show. When he awoke the next morning, realised he'd sh!t in her bed and they were both covered in it :o

Chris says that it will happen at 1:30pm on Monday, so if you can't wait until Tuesday night, the live feed on E4 is on until 2:35pm on Monday, so unless there's a lot of swearing then you should be able to make out most of what's going on.

I noticed that, thought it would piss you off.

HOUSEMATE was a nice conundrum. When I was talking to my mates about this the other day, I gave them scrambles of HOUSEMATE and BROTHERLY to solve, thinking one of them could be used as the conundrum on this.

Was the 4 large possible?
