I don't know anything about Conor apart from his Countdown success. His profile lists his interests as 'jack all', although there must be more to the man than just Countdown.

Kai, however, apart from his octochamp run, is an ace goal-scorer for his football team (16 goals in 6 games), a keen swimmer, a very competent student of AS-level mathematics and he plays double bass. He has made a huge contribution to the Countdown Wiki, is well-mannered, considerate, and funny, and all this at the age of 13. It's enough to put many of us adults to shame, so he gets my vote.

Maybe someone would like to list Conor's attributes, then the voting might be more meaningful.

Like Ralph I'm going to abstain on this one, the reason being that I don't know what criteria we are judging the two by.

I agree with all that Alec has said about Kai, but that still doesn't mean that he necessarily wins because, as I said, we don't know the criteria.

If Jimmy were to clarify how we are to make our judgements, then maybe it'll be easier to make a decision.

Given that the question is in Countdown General and not off-topic I'd say Jimmy's intention was a Countdown-ability based poll. If someone did another poll: Who is more awesome: Man Utd or Liverpool FC in Off Topic I'm sure the meaning of it would be quite plain.

I think both candidates are equally awesome-o at the game so I used the 2nd interpretation as a tie-breaker. Kai rocks my socks off for the reasons Alec mentioned and then some so he gets my vote
