Frank Mulvey

Post by Martin Gardner »

I'm just looking at the Countdownwiki and the article of Frank, it seems to me that he never actually lost he just retired for personal reasons after a score of 133? I assume this was the last recording of the day and on the date of the next recordings, he was ill or had to work or something? What a shame really, looks like he would have been an Octochamp, is there any thought of inviting him back to a later Series?

If you cut a gandiseeg in half, do you get two gandiseegs or two halves of a gandiseeg?

In a word, no. He got drunk, arrested and turned up at 6pm the next recording day, asleep on the couches at reception.

I don't think I watched Frank Mulvey. It sounds like the name of an old person. But then his acts don't. How old was he?

Must've been about 30. Quite a funny guy as I recall.

Brilliant, I missed this first time! Sounds like some Apterites we've known.
