Is Banter With Contestants to be Encouraged?

Post by Marc Meakin »

I have noticed Anne is trying to have a bit of banter with the contestants.
Unsurprisingly not all contestants are comfortable with this.
Personally I like a bit of banter but most of the earlier contestants would have applied before Anne's tenure.
Hopefully contestants will be applying with the knowledge that Anne is running things she might get a more responsive.
However it has occurred to me that the majority of contestants, historically, are not Anne's type of crowd

Banter. The playful and friendly exchange of teasing remarks. An exchange requires the recipient to respond in kind.

"You're an accountant. Is that as exciting as it sounds?"

"Maybe not. I've never been sacked for being drunk, for example."

Looking forward to it.
