Most successful contestants to then be given a second chance

Glen Webb got to the quarter finals of series 23 (without being an octochamp) but then came back across series 68/69 where he became an octochamp and made the quarter finals and the CoC. Julia Wilkinson became an octochamp across series 47/48 and made the quarter finals of series 48, and then came back in this series (80 apparently) but lost her first game. Has anyone else made the knockout stages and then come back?

Although he didn't progress to the knockout stages, it's worth mentioning Zarte Siempre, who smashed out five wins in series 69 before losing to Dylan Taylor. He then won series 78 and the subsequent CoC.

Was there a semi finalist from a ye olde series who came back and lost his first game about a year or two ago, or am I misremembering?

On people who haven't (yet) been given a second chance: I know that Pete Cashmore was trying to reapply a while ago - having won a series and been runner up in his CoC... - but doesn't look like he's been successful, and Ian Bebbington (series 7 winner) apparently asked for an application form at a recent filming.

Paul Harper was a QF in the 90s, and became a QFinalist once again in Series 78. According to the wiki, he was the reserve for CoC this year as well. Think that is worthy enough......

Has anyone made the semi-finals and then made a reappearance?

This isn't the person I'm thinking of, but yes.

Not as a semi finalist, which is what the messages you've quoted are about?

Yeah, but I mean it's worth mentioning anyone who made the QFs or the Masters. Although I think pretty much everyone who made the Masters also made the QFs.

Another semi finalist (this may be who I was thinking of?): Chris Feetenby

Zarte got the second chance and was pretty damn successful. Best countdown player ever now.
