In memory of Sean Lock and the legacy he left behind, this is a version of Countdown played through Google Meets (not through Zoom because we already have a fantastic Countdown online show on there, and it's probably best not to conflate the 2)- the Google Meets version will be a comedic version, with teams of 2 vs 2 apterites playing, with each contestant having a mascot as well. The game will be 7 or 8 rounds; but more focused on the comedy than the gameplay, a la Catsdown.

I'll also need a Dictionary Corner guest.

I know many people on here and Apterous are more serious players, but if anybody is also up for a laugh doing the comedy version, please respond here

Yeah, couldn't make it work due to availability of participants.

Here we go, I'm thinking of reviving this for the summer.

Initially I had players who were eager to participate and available but family members tested positive for COVID and I had to postpone it, meaning a lot of the people initially eager to do it were not available.

However, I can do this as a in the summer. I recently came across Andres S's series with the 2 player format, and it reminded me that I tried doing this all those months back- I'm happy to do it in the summer of this year- July and August- would anybody be interested in participating then? Don't worry about specific dates just yet- they will be sorted out nearer the time- I know historically, I'm not the most organised apterite but this is a format I feel optimistic about. Just remember the comedy will take priority over the game in this version.
