Missing number

Post by Kirk Bevins »

5 9
6 4

2 3
8 4

2 7
3 3

1 5
3 ?

What's the missing number? I think 2 but my logic is pretty poor. Anyone got a better answer and reasoning?

Is the third square definitely right? I thought the missing number might be 5, but that only works if the bottom right number of the third square is a 1.

Ha, you were probably spot on. They've released the "answers" this week. All they've said is there was a typo in last month's edition but not given the answer! Well done.
