Thanks, Andrew, for squeezing me in after I returned from holidaying with my kids in sunny North Wales. 8-)

Like my new nickname.

Thanks also, to Matt Bayfield, for dropping out so fortuitously. :)

Many apologies for this late result from Week 1, entirely my fault for the delay. Pushed very hard by Ian, scrambled home 2-1 in the end. This was an Open match.

Having thoroughly researched the hitherto, unknown to me concept of a Swiss tournament (i.e. Wikipedia'd it) I gather there are usually a predetermined number of rounds? How many rounds will there be and what will happen in the event of a tie-break?

Many apologies if this has already been outlined.

There are five rounds. The first tiebreak is game records (games over/under .500); the second is points/game.

Kirk 2 - 1 Dinos
http://www.apterous.org/viewgame.php?game=84713

I buzzed first and immediately knew I had it wrong and then solved it. Dinos failed. Too trigger happy - I goughed it.

http://www.apterous.org/viewgame.php?game=84722

A nice game to make it 1-1.

http://www.apterous.org/viewgame.php?game=84736

When I got this one wrong, I then saw ANNULMENT - another case of being trigger happy but luckily it wasn't crucial.

2-0 against a slightly off-form Junaid, didn't help that the 6 small kept producing really small targets!

Two close games, and Rob was not helped by misclicking the first numbers in the second game. Both could have gone either way.

EDIT: Apologies for using this thread, but I'mt not sure James Levison is registered on the forum. Just need to let him know I'm away for the next couple of days, so hopefully we can meet up sometime Saturday evening to play our match.

f.a.o. Liam Tiernan. Sorry all for posting personal messages here but you didn't reply to my pm from the other day and urgently need to fix up our game. The only night I can now do this week is tomorrow, Friday 3rd.

Ross Allatt

Andrew, Kai and I had planned to play tomorrow but Kai now not sure he can do this. Saturday and most of Sunday are out for me (wedding anniversary :D ) so only chance after tomorrow would be late Sunday (and even that might strain matrimonial goodwill)

I've been having connection problems, and now they're resolved, apterous appears to be down.
I've tried loading it on Internet Explorer and Firefox, but no joy. :(

So, sorry, Tom, and rest of the tournament. I'll try to log on later and hope you're about. Hope we can finish our game soon. :)

Hi Andy. I am having real difficulties connecting to apterous, and when I finally do, it freezes soon after.

Haven't had much access to the Internet in the last few days so unless we could reschedule for Sunday (if Andrew doesn't mind that is), then I think our match may not be able to happen.

Apologies to all :(
