Aww thanks, now I need to go and delete all those things I said about you in my Countdown Experience (which needs to be seriously shortened before I send it to Mike...over 6000 words!)

It seems churlish to complain after my first 13-max game for a while, but damn! I wish I'd got this game when I hadn't just woken up. Maybe the most gettable max for a 15-rounder ever?

Argh! I thought I had Prime done and dusted when I was 36 ahead with some good words. Then I failed to score for the remainder of the show and I lost :(

Argh! I could have had Rex. Crucial conundrum, and I pressed C straight away for CONSONANT and it locked my C in and then locked me out and he just beat me. Ffs. 0.7 seconds is sooo hard to beat and I was quick.

Maybe this should be in scrag? Round 1 was a terrible miss with loads of easy words including several -ED words. Then I went on to max the last 14 rounds. A simple max game slipped through my fingers. Ridiculous.

Argh! Now I know how Paul Howe feels. I pressed C immediately for CRAZINESS and was already celebrating when I was locked out. Still yet to get a max game on goatdown (although this would have been a max game against a crap opponent like apterous prune I want a proper max game). For f*** sake.

Awesome and sexy?

Seriously though, Apterous Rex is a bastard. The lag on my end is such that I often get beaten to the buzzer even when I try to blag it. Very frustrating on the few occasions I've managed to force a crucial.

Argh, and now this:

I had BETIME and BETIMES noted down and knew only one of them was valid, and picked the wrong one. Never bottled a game more aggravatingly than that.

OK, I'll stop now.

This is frustration as it's only star 27 of tadpole but it's so bloody hard to beat the Guardian. I'm coming up with obscure 5s and 6s and he's getting them and then when I have a hope of pulling some points back with a 7, he gets it too. It's insane. He should miss more than he does, even at star 27 level.

Look at this - it's insane - I played well here (apart from maybe the last round but I was dead anyway and annoyed) and I lost 40 rating points.

Argh!!!
Round 2 - had TODAY and missed TODAYS.
Round 4 - had URBANISE and missed URBANITES.
Round 10 - had 765 but clicked 21+4 instead of 21x4.

I really should have been ahead after this numbers but I'm not.

Round 13 - Excellent. A 9 to get me right back in the game where I should be - HELOTAGES. Computer says no, when it's in. Infinite frustration.

My cousin had schnitzel in Munich too, in the Augustiner bier hall restaurant opposite our hostel. Except she described it as one of the most disgusting things she'd ever tasted, a combination of "dog fanny and rotten milk". We had been being sick all morning though, thanks to it being the afternoon after our first ever proper night on Jägermeister, so that may have clouded her judgement somewhat.

Immediately after having my duel torpedoed by a mistyped conundrum, I attempt a Junior Letters Attack and this happens. Blinded by the csw-only 7 in round 19 costs me not only a would-be record but what would've been a huge improvement over Bevins's. :(

Was quite pleased with this game in places. Got a sexy pencil and beat Craig on a 6 small. However the maxness was ruined by a promising fish that Craig and I were both sure was there. Followed by more aquatic plural mishaps :(

So you were on the verge of a max game, got nervous, and a load of girls were watching: bit of a stab in the dark here but did you make the next day 'laundry day'?
