I doubt these cakes will last til Newark North Gate, let alone Saturday.

Hey Ben. Claire wants to come, but she'll be in the Chloe Betteridge role and won't actually play. Hope this is fine.

What if Chloe Betteridge has already bagged the Chloe Betteridge role again this year?

As Dan is now rooming with me as Chloe cancelled their booking - I'd presume she's not coming.

Guys, guys, guys - I can't help but think that this eating competition idea has got a bit out of hand. While I'm happy to have impromptu eating competitions when the time is right, I'm not sure I'd be too happy about this becoming some sort of "thing" beforehand, and I think it would be a bit weird having it in the middle of a COLIN event. I wouldn't want my own success here to detract from Corby's COLIN victory. Plus people would think that I only won because Deeks let me as it's my birthday. Yes, COLIN is on my birthday.

I've been out most of this week, so that's why I've waited until now, by the way.

OK, so we might as well put in our requests. Corby, Jono, what are you having? Not Morrison and Badcock though, with their "car".

I'd like a birthday cake. For you, Gev.

I expect if Morrison and Badcock were choosing, they'd have some kind of rusk, or something to do with their fucking baby that they never shut up about.

Tempted, very tempted but it wasn't really the time or the place and I probably wouldn't have got away with a plug anyway. :)

Massive spoilerz! There's no point in watching this game now. I was only going to watch for the excitement of whether there would be a COLIN plug.

In particular to my travelling companions (Jono, Gev, Heather S), but also to anybody else travelling from London - what time are you planning to arrive at King's Cross? I can be there at around 14:00ish, but there seems little point in being that early if nobody else is around to have a drink with. (I'll send you three my mobile number, anyone else can PM me for it.)

Actually, this applies to anybody who may be in London at that time, regardless of whether you're travelling to COLIN, or if we even know each other. I get so lonely sometimes.

I seem to remember last time there was some agreement to meet at some pub, and I was the only one to turn up. But yeah, I'm free all day. I'm not working again until February.

I don't think there were any concrete plans last year, I just wandered around a bit and stopped in a pub, but a different one to you as it turned out. Cool, I'll get in for about 14:00 then. Text me the name of a pub and I'll meet you there.

BTW, not working until February? Are you cupid? A pancake chef?

There were definitely some plans. Maybe you were going to be late anyway, so you weren't included, but the others were meant to come.

Entry numbers have gone into uncharted territory. :)

On a semi-related note, as I honestly have no idea where entry numbers will end up, is anyone bringing along anyone who's willing to act as a reserve player in case numbers don't make a multiple of 3? Any reserve player will obviously play for free on the day and I'll owe them a drink in the bar afterwards.

EDIT: Oh, and I'm still in need of copious amounts of copies of the board game and the ODE3.

So not only do they get free entry for not really giving a shit about playing, but they also get a free drink?! And there's the rest of us having to pay however much it is and buy our own drinks! That's what commitment gets you!

I wouldn't mind, but Corby's getting free entry as well.

Going to bring my board game (the new one which does not exceed the legal limit of shitty letters), complete with a badly drawn on marker pen A tile as it was on my windowsill for the best part of 2012 and it faded in the sun. :D

Anyone who does have a board game which exceeds the legal limit of shitty letters, is welcome to use it on whichever table I'm on, especially for when I'm picking my traditional 17 vowel selections against Jon Corby.

Sadly, I don't have a board game I can bring. Well, not a Countdown board game.

I'm also bringing my husband Ed but he doesn't want to play -he's going to watch Lincoln Town play instead!

As demand for food is tepid at best there won't be cooked food available like there has been in previous years. However, there are plenty of takeaways in walking distance of the venue, and there will be flyers for said restaurants available to pre-book lunches.
