Countdown In Bristol 2009

Post by Scott Kenyon »

Hello Countdowners,

After much begging with Jerry he has agreed, in principle, to running a CoBRIS tournament this year on Saturday July 18th provided that we can ensure there will be adequate numbers, therefore please reply a.s.a.p and let me know if you're interested so we can try and get this show on the road.

There is a group on FaceBook, called CoBRIS 2009, please forward this e-mail and add people to the Facebook group who you think may be interested as there are likely to be people I've accidentally missed out.

Anyways, get back to me as soon as possible as Jerry needs to know the numbers very quickly so he can book a venue if we can get enough people.

Regards,

Scott Kenyon

Just to say as well that Jerry wants a minimum of 20, preferably 24-30 people to run the event, so if you're interested then please e-mail me

http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=67809187209 is a link to the facebook group, closed group but everyone in it admins so you can invite fellow countdowners.

So far after a day's advertisement we've got about 10 ppl, so looking promising in early days...

I've joined up to the group so I can see developments as and when they happen but my attendance will depend on the cost of getting to Bristol, other social events and other various factors. In short I'm a maybe.

5. Ben Wilson

10. Junaid Mubeen

11. Jeff Clayton

You can add me as another "maybe" to this list - I hope to still be around, but may be in South Africa! :D

OK. I'm almost deffo coming. The trains look a bit dodgy though, cuz of engineering works, but hey! £9 return can't complain hehe. Anyone going by train, I'd like to meet you at the station if that's OK? Not familiar with Brizzle at all, so yeh!

Hi all

Does anyone know if COBRIS is going ahead or not? With the current amount of people it appears unlikely, but as there are only two weeks until the 18th, I thought I'd ask the question.

Cheers.

Is this definitely not happening now? I feel sorry for all those who perhaps booked train tickets.

What a shame.
