Re: Music
I sort of get Gavin's point here in relation to 'buying' vs 'listening'.
Back in the day if you went to a record store and bought a new single it counted the same on the charts whether you took the record home and played it once, or a hundred times over.

Just done the calculations and apparently there's only about 130 million feet (or 40,000km) to go round the Earth (circumference), so frankly it's amazing that the population ever exceeded 70 million (on an assumed average of 1.9 feet per person).

Only one round to go in the 2020-2022 tournament so it's between Callum Todd and Thomas Carey. Letters means letters. The Goatdown event has always been a highly experimental thing and has never shied away from that. Given the massive point swings what can and surely will happen with 9 picks in Goatdown, I don't think ditching Numbers is at all a big deal. If anyone loses narrowly at Goatdown...

Yeah to be clear, the first disgrace here (relevant to the Foreign Secretary's comments) is Qatar and its contemptible ethics, including its horrible homophobia. Yeah I felt a bit cheeky posting my dirty road running gossip in this track and field thread but it reminded me of the sorts of discussions you athletics fans have tended to have before. 150m is a pretty big error for such a major race! I felt robbed when Strava called the Morley 10k 10m short.
