Re: Spoilers for Friday 16 December 2016 (Series 74, 2nd Quarter Final)
Just watched this and somewhat surprised I'm still in time to do the one-away-is-best 2nd numbers:
865 = ((100 + 2) x 9) - (50 + 75/25).
Guess it might be on the wiki by now though but I haven't looked, ha ha.

There was another game involving weights, just seen it again on Challenge. There are 5 hooks, up to 4 units distant from the balance pointer at the centre of the scales, and 5 weights of varying units. Instructions are to multiply distance by weight. I was thinking Rick upped his game because he had better competition, like most snooker players seem to do. He may have just made sure he kept his concentration. Amber could have taken the lead from the 638 round though, as she had 10-7 left to get her one away. Then it wouldn't have been such a ste...

75 x (25-2) - 1 / (100/50)

Bizarre numbers solve by Rachel at the end. If you're going to do 27×7 then it's 100-75+10/5 or 100-75+10-8. If you're going to start with 100+75, you might as well then add 14. 7×10/5 or 10+5-8+7.
