The breaks are a lot shorter in reality, about one minute, and usually the make-up people come to do some touching up. Apart from that, general chit-chat to eachother or a presenter if they're interested. There's not a lot of thumb-twiddling that I experienced or have seen.

No, I think it's a sort of semi-secret, like the way they space the letters to stop three of the same thing coming up in the same round.

I have a cunning plan.........(not sure Charlie will be keen).....and that is a TIMED challenge. See who can answer the most in lets say, 60 seconds, or 2 minutes - but not against a bot, just against the clock. Same rules apply though, as in hitting the correct letter first to avoid cheating. Yeah. And in regular Countdown, you can just type all the letters into CountMax, see what the max is, and submit that. It's a matter of trust, really.

I get extra time on all rounds now. About 6 seconds. Since the "finish your half written word" thing was added. It is a bit annoying despite being an advantage. Anyone else?
