Chris Marshall wrote:I had an audition today.

The only thing different to what Graeme said is the conundrums are now typed out on a strip of paper and the person holding the audition holds it up for 30 seconds.
And I imagine, unlike what Graeme says, you put your hand up when you have the conundrum rather than say it.

I had this written on the calendar but the PDC officials darts cup is being held on the same day and, as reigning champ and £100 to the winner at stake, I've chosen to do that instead so count me out.

I always wanted to be a maths teacher or a darts shouter. When maths teaching went down the pan I decided the actuarial route was for me as it involved numbers and paid well. The darts shouter is still a dream and I've now got the experience behind me for if/when that opportunity arises.

I'm actually more inclined to think it's just a genuine mistake, and luckily my missus has been fine about it, so no harm done. I've never won on word soup. Hexagrams however I win the jackpot virtually every time. Hex, as played in Lincoln with the other Countdowners, we won 6/6 times. It's a shame the new machines have scrapped Hexagrams and made Hex so hard to win on.
