Re: Hypercountdown- solution to the problem

I'll volunteer, but not sure I'm any use out here. No OED, and I have the small hand held electronic game, but not sure that's what you mean as it only does 9 letters. If there's any way I can help, then count me in. Never once played Hyper, but when I do get round to it, I can see how frustrating i...

Re: Apterous League Championship

Although I agree with Ben above that a semi-regular bunch of tournaments with striated flights would serve the purpose just as well, probably. (Unlike Ben, I'm willing to throw my hat in the ring to help organize such a thing.) Let's see whether people want ratings-restricted tournaments, shall we ...

Hi Charlie, Another Gremlin for you. Round 7 (I think) of the duel this morning. The conundrum. Once it was done, it didn't show on the scoreboard and the whole thing stuck, I had to close. The duel is still in my challenge window but haven't managed to restart it yet. You really do have a conundrum...

Speaking of rapid fire numbers games, could you change it so that the cursor's automatically focused in the declaration box? Just bumped this up, coz I agree, is it possible? Can anyone tell me how to get a screenshot into here, it's saved on my desktop as a jpeg. Where do i go from there? It's obviously something to do with Img button up there, but the 'http://image_url' in between the brackets means nothing to me. And if I just paste nothing happens. Perhaps someone sh...

I did think a better solution might be a limited DC list for junior so those of who can vote can still enjoy them - I know it would detract for me if some of them weren't so brilliantly OTT. If kids decide to play the adult version they'll have to take what they get! Now that's a good idea! But I b...

Best Apterous word so far

Rococo

Didn't think much of it as you can imagine the set of letters that spawned it, but apparently according to superstats it's an original! I feel so clever now!

Probably been mentioned before, how about a handicap game? This would allow a lower ranked player to compete with the big guns: you give the lower ranked player a +18 headstart or the higher ranked player starts on -18 before the game starts, for the 15 rounders (maybe +15, as +18 may be too big a ...
