IMMATURE in R4. Surprised Susie didn't spot that. Same...I immediately thought of SF2 of S77 last year as both Bradley and John spotted that. That was quite some air time to fill at the end, I wished it was Mark talking about the "Gotcha" Episode and what happened when he had to temporari...

Well not really - if you're past the point at which anyone else can make it, it's just formality. Although after Annie dropping out a few series back, someone ought to check the 8 with someone who was there each time. What was Paul Zenon's trick today. In a hotel which doesn't have channel 4 on the tv for some reason. And can't watch it on channel4's website. Re: Spoilers for Tuesday 19th June 2018 (Series 78, QF4)

Paul went from a 42 point deficit to just a 12 point decifit, would've been sensational if he won. Yeah, had that happened, it would've been the biggest upset in the entire history of the show! Letters: R7 was pretty much recycled from yesterday's R12 if you know what I mean...Phil's early spot of ...

Re: Spoilers for Monday 18th June 2018 (Series 78, QF3)

WAVELET in R13. Letters: It was pretty much even between both contestants today, although I have to commend Chris' SERRANO in R5 and Dougie's THIMBLE in R8. Then, it was DOVETAILS in R12 that ultimately sealed Dougie's fate as he is now facing Philip on Thursday! I'm sure Dougie's sorry to make Chri...

Re: Spoilers for Friday 15th June 2018 (Series 78, QF2)

Simpler Alternative for R14: (100 x 4) - 25 + (50 ÷ 10) I'm not convinced. It's pretty clunky, and you've used an extra number. If there's a "standard method", it's what Owen put - 100*4-2*10=380. Ok to clarify, my definition of "simpler" is a method that an average person can t...

Re: Spoilers for Friday 15th June 2018 (Series 78, QF2)

Alright I may be late in the game because China refuses to let me use Lexplorer to do my individual recapping (Because it uses a Google Java Applet unfortunately and they blocked it so too bad..), but I've just finished watching it and here's my analysis but just one alternative today: Simpler Alter...

Re: Series 78 Finals Predictions (Contains Spoilers!)

Ok, since my game is causing so many problems, I'm sorry to say but I'm offically calling off the game. Until I can sort the flaws in my game, we will not play it here. Sorry for all the inconvenience caused! :(

Re: Series 78 Finals Predictions (Contains Spoilers!)

Yes congratulations, my game is flawed, we all failed to get any points today! Zarte is too good for all of us! :(

Re: Spoilers for Thursday 14th June 2018 (Series 78, QF1)

Zarte caused Alex Ferguson's brain haemorrhage. Wow. Jesus f**k - dark  That's like something I'd say  Oh well, no one knew Alex would suffer that since this was recorded on Tuesday, 13 March, some two months before he suffered that unfortunately. Nevertheless, wishing him a great recover...

Re: Series 78 Finals Predictions (Contains Spoilers!)

It's still flawed. If I understand correctly, if I predict Zarte to beat Jan by 100 points, and he actually beats her by 50 then I will get 50 points. If I predict him to beat her 51 points and it's actually 50, I'll get 1 point - rewarding people for being further out isn't really logical. Either ...

Re: Spoilers for 13th June 2018

Poor Darren, a late night recording plus him unsucessfully risking words did him in eventually, indeed what an EMOTIONAL end to the Prelims of Series 78. Alright with that, here are some stats I thought I'd share based on the 110 Episodes we had thus far in comparison to Series 77: 1. More contestan...

Re: Series 78 Finals Predictions (Contains Spoilers!)

The point is that with your current scoring everyone should pick who they think is going to win, and then say that they'll win by infinite points. That way if you're right you get infinite points, and if you're wrong you lose nothing. The system last time was that Martin put some predictions to sta...

Re: Spoilers for Tuesday 12th June 2018 (Series 78, Prelim 109)

Only one more show before the finals! Yes I know we're all excited, unlucky Darren, he could've gotten 480 in R6 if he had spotted (2 + 3) x 4 to take off 500, so much for Rachel's method though... I have to agree with Nick that it wasn't really an open goal in R14...you should refer to R9 for that...

Re: Series 78 Finals Predictions (Contains Spoilers!)

QF1: Tom Chafer-Cook vs Graeme Staples (Prediction: 50 Points) (Actual: 45 Points) (Score: 50-45=5 Points) If I understand this correctly, if you predicted Tom to win by a million and 45 points, you'd get a million points. That is technically correct, although I must admit no one is going to win wi...
