From my Scrabble sources our opponent today is Kathy Richland (was Suddick). She recently married Series 4 Number one seed Robert Richland. Robert is now a delivering post as a postman in the Warrington area.

Interestingly, Susie took her time before allowing GARPIKES, on the grounds that GARPIKE would be the plural. I also had EPIGRAMS and GRAMPIES written down, but thankfully she allowed it. Re: Spoilers for Wednesday September 3rd 2014 (S71 P39)
As Countdown clashes with DCDL directly this week I wondered when both shows would have the same target at the same time for the numbers game. Today it actually happened: while we had 706 to make from 100, 6, 5, 8, 8 and 7 the French contestants had 706 to make from 8, 7, 10, 7, 5 and 10. Both were ...

When the ODE was used, American words were fine (SIDEWALK, MAILBOX etc.) but American spellings were not (COLOR, TRAVELED etc.). It is also not listed as a spelling and has its own pronunciation listed so it's arguably a separate term. The ambiguity lies in the fact that the entry for LUPINE lists it neither as a "term" or "spelling" just North American. If you look at the entries for SIDEWALK and CELLPHO...

Re: Countdown Wiki
You wouldn't have to have the names filled for the next two weeks but It'd be nice to know the name of the contestant who appears the next day..... just in case the camera pans the name too quick or has omitted to get it in shot as sometimes has happened in the past.

Re: Spoilers For Monday September 9th 2013
Shame they all missed the final 9 in round 13 - but first 12 maxes + a 13th on the numbers is pretty hot by Jen. Jessica came up with the unlikely STOMPIEST in that round. Re: Wednesday 4th September 2013 (Series 69, Prelim 41)

I somehow think that Ray, currently rated 160th= in the UK and 354th in the WESPA world ratings, wil...

Re: Spoilers for Wednesday September 4th 2013 (S69 P41)

Even though Lexplorer says not. Well done Jen. impressive performance. Rumours in the Scrabble world by one certain beard...
