Re: People you shouldn't trust
People who say "x years young!" when talking about a person's birthday. It does not even make sense, and just sounds really ridiculous. A 10-year-old is 6 years young for Countdown. That’s about the only legit reason to use the phrase IMO. Even then, you'd say "6 years TOO young".

Shouldn’t have been. Correct to allow it - it was clearly stated that the dictionary used was apterous. If the event is rule-bound to go by the latest facsimile of the Apterous dictionary and chooses to use that for adjudication then that’s absolutely fine. The problem is the ‘latest’ version of th...

Thanks to all those who submitted nominations for GotY 2021 . 2021 proved to be an absolutely sensational year for apterous, largely owing to people having a lot more time to play on it (as in 2020). I did find Callum's arguments to be quite intriguing, and have definitely made an effort to reduce my meat intake (well, in terms of foodstuffs). Not a big footie fan and I read the news story yesterday. Yes, we're all (or most of us are) hypocrites, but there is a difference between deliberate calculated cruelty for one's own amusement, and food production. (Many meat eaters are at least nominally concerned about animal welfare in farming.)...
