The other DC beater was MOMENTA, with equallers OUTMAN and MANQUE,
in R8 where Ms Dent said AMOUNT was the only 6.

I think you are a round out. Round 2 was RETAINS+R!

Also RELIANT R3 and possible LATTENS R4 (my dictionary doesn't say mass noun).

I was also shocked that RR didn't get the numbers in time and the easy way.

Quiet on this forum today!

Did any one solve the middle numbers in the 30 secs?
Crosswordtools.com says it's 85% difficult.

RESPIRED for equaler in round 1 and PRALINES and PERSONAL in round 3.

Re: Spoilers For Thursday October 28th 2010

I wonder did Rory remember MAIZES being disallowed when he was on during Jimmy's run last year? Originally Susie disallowed it, which was nice as the scores were then equal. Then the gallery intervened and filming was stopped for several minutes whilst Susie and the gallery argued it out. An equall...

Re: Spoilers For Thursday October 28th 2010

Originally Rachel said she drank Red Bull at the services, which had to be redone
as "fizzy drink". They also recorded a version where she puts her foot down and
drives straight home without stopping!

Re: Spoilers For Wednesday October 27th 2010

BORGATA and BANDORA There was confusion in the studio as in the original take Susie said BOGART quite softly and Rachel put BOGARD up on the board. This was shot again. Also recorded twice was Rory swearing in the guest piece. He first used the F-word and secondly a milder term, but neither made th...

Re: Spoilers For Friday July 2nd 2010

It was R12 that was RC followed by the rogue U. I also thought it wrong JS acused RR of wearing a frock - it looks like a skirt and top. My wife thought that the challenger said 'a 3rd' (consonant) in R13 when the U came out. Whether it was from the wrong box or Rachel picked wrong I'm not sure. I w...

Re: Spoilers for Monday 15th March 2010

I found an alternative way to RR's easy way in the 30s for the middle one:
((((6+1)*3)+37)*5)+6
but took until now to do the first one a different way:
((6+8+5)*4*12)+37
Well done to both our heroes for a good show!

Re: Spoilers For Friday March 5th 2010

On the original filming of the conundrum, Jamie buzzed on 27 seconds to say he didn't know the answer but just wanted to buzz in. So the time was restarted but the music started again from the beginning and didn't stop when Raheel buzzed on 29 to say he didn't know either. They reran the condundrum ...

Re: Spoilers For Friday March 5th 2010

No blunders by the crew in that part - it was on Wednesday's show that Suzy's earpiece fell out right at the end of her monologue and she had to redo the last sentence. Nice to hear funny man and football fan, warm-up guy Dudley, mentioned. In the break he likes to discuss the teaser with the audien...

Re: Spoilers For Friday March 5th 2010

I was there in the audience and the crew and cast must have been tired at the end
of a long Tuesday. Rachel in reply to Jeff's opening spreach said "Olympics" instead
of "Oscars" and then cracked up - you couldn't see the join in the edit when just broadcast.
More later...

Re: Spoilers For Wednesday March 3rd 2010

I was in the audience for the afternoon session of 2nd Feb - all the contestants seemed nice when I talked to them [redacted big fat spoiler -- Ed] . Nicholas Owen was nice too as he went out of his way to go over and talk to the contestants. I got a DC beater on watching it today: R4 SCENTING and t...
