Depends how awkward the root is, but they can pop out quite easily. I find they usually ache for the rest of the day, and they can bleed a bit, hence the recommendation of taking care with it. Don't skimp on the aftercare either, I'm told dry socket is a bastard.

I'd suggest that the rules don't need rewritten as they're working pretty well. It's much easier to have a blanket ban, apart from at the discretion of production, rather than having higher expectations across the board.

Pink Lady apples seem to veer between quite distinct, and a slightly nicer Golden Delicious. I usually buy them over Granny Smiths though. Granny Smiths of some decades ago were better than current ones though - much tarter.
