If I'm loosing, 3 large. If I'm tighting, 1 large.

2 large can be pretty evil, despite what any computer analysis will tell you. There's often no obvious start point. It might be the easiest selection given 30 minutes, but in 30 seconds it has to be 1 large.

The 5 areas that most damage the max score % are missed conundrums (Elliott didn't), missed 9s (Elliott didn't), missed numbers (he maxed 31/32), invalid words (just Moonies), and being beaten by your opponent (he wasn't).

This octorun record could last 20 years.

I believe he turned down such an opportunity, but nevertheless Jonny Rye deserved another go. Impressive and entertaining as George Ford's Countdown career proved to be, it was basically launched by administrative error.

Time spent having breakfast is time that could have been spent staying in bed a bit longer instead.

I never feel hungry first thing anyway, though if someone mentions food to me quite early on in the day then it can make me peckish. Otherwise I can get to about half past 1 without needing food.

In common with others, too much scoring is the reason I have never got into basketball. Football on the other hand goes too far in the other direction. I think American Football and rugby have got it about right.

Singapore, Brands Hatch, Spa, Silverstone, Indianapolis, Goodwood.

Only Spa and Silverstone on the actual occasions of F1 events though. Got to stand right behind the barrier on the exit of Eau Rouge for about 3 minutes, until a security guard moved us on.
